Comparing Fractions

Today at maths we did comparing fractions. To compare a fraction, such as 2/5 and 1/6, you need to compare 5 and 6 for the lowest common denominator, so 5 is 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.

And 6 is 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, so 30 is the lowest common denominator. So it becomes 2/30 and 1/30. Now comes the hard part, since 2/5 had a smaller denominator, we have to times 2 by 6, and that becomes 12, and so it becomes 12/30. Then we times 1 by 6, so that is 6, and so it is 6/30, so 12/30 is bigger. 

12/30 > 6/30.

Today I was late to school. It SUCKS being late, but the good thing is I got to wait at the library for a bit and read. Then I and one other person hopped on in the van with my teacher Sharon. When we arrived at Tech we went to Sewing. We learnt to back-stitch and 15mm Seam. Then we had Morning Tea and me and my friends played Four Square. The we wen't to Digi-Tech, witch me and Jasmin continued to argue about who's Mind-Flayer was better. Last time in Digi-Tech we both created Mind-Flayers, from Stranger Things on Tinkercad, and we where arguing who's was better. If you don't know what a Mind-Flayer look's like, heres one: 

 

So, anyway, when the teacher got back, we got into the classroom, she explained that we needed to play some Scratch games. There where a lot of games, the first one I played was called 'Bat-man Vs Joker', where you needed to save the falling babies and not catch the falling Joker. Then there where other games like 'Cars' and 'Mighty Knight'. Then we got to make our own Scratch Projects, and I created a monkey with a whirl effect. Then we started on a game where a Shark had to eat a Fish, and the score would go up one. But someone made the Fish eating the Shark! We where late getting to the buses, (Again!) so I sat in the front of the Van while we wen't back to school.
